The Weidmann InsuLogix™ H Hydrogen Detector employs proven thermal conductivity technology (TCD) with a measurement range of 0-10% H2. The InsuLogix™ H Low Detection Limit (LDL) is equivalent to 50 PPM H2 in oil (or 1000 PPM in transformer headspace).
Benefits
Designed for Nitrogen headspace applications
Robust and tested technology platform
Easy field installation, no transformer outage required
Simple set-up and operation, no need for computer
The only fault detector that can be easily calibrated in field using standard gas
Responds to utilities’ demand for an economically priced H2 monitor
Adjustable H2 alarm set-points correlated to IEEE C57.104 headspace gas
Prepared for remote sampling interval modulation (manual or automatic)
Features
Capable of detecting H2 levels as low as ~50ppm in oil equivalent (1000ppm H2 in headspace)
User selectable test intervals
Two H2 alarm levels, one solid state relay
Manual alarm reset at unit
One 4-20mA output (H2)
Failure watchdog
Minimum and maximum H2 values retained
Backflow check valve in exhaust prevents contamination ingress under vacuum
Pure Nitrogen is used to set the detector’s baseline before each test
Optional: 4-20mA output recorder, USB memory stick
Optional: 4-20mA signal conversion and two way wireless data transmission, the information being visualized over secure Internet connection starting with satellite maps view of all substations equipped with InsuLogix H and scaling down to each monitor to see the status, the H2 trend, change the sampling interval or remotely force a test.
